Hi, I’m Simone Assboeck, a Transformational Wedding Dance Coach based in New York City.
What I Do
I help engaged couples reduce stress, have fun, and strengthen their bond through personalized wedding dance lessons.
I’m a professional Latin and ballroom dance instructor, choreographer, and entertainer with over 15 years of experience. My goal is to create a beautiful wedding dance and introduce couples to a hobby they’ll love for years.
My Story
I started ballroom dancing as a kid in Germany. Inspired by my parents, who loved social dancing, I gave it a try and never looked back.
I fell in love with dance and spent my childhood taking lessons and competing. I even won the German State Dance Championship and competed in the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival in England.
Later, I earned a master's degree in physical education with a direction on Modern Dance Technique and Rehabilitation from the German Sport University in Cologne.
After moving to the United States, I taught at dance studios across New York City. I performed at events like the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing.
My career has also included appearances in movies and TV shows such as Enchanted, Boardwalk Empire, The TODAY Show, and ABC News.
Starting Dance Together NYC
Nearly ten years ago, I founded my own company, Dance Together NYC, to provide one-on-one, customized dance instruction for all skill levels. I’m proud to have helped hundreds of students transform their confidence and discover the joy of dance.
From complete beginners to wedding couples and even Hollywood stars, I believe everyone can learn to dance. If you can walk, you can dance!
