Sharon Alfred, owner and operator of Idia’s Catering is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She was raised in a family of great cooks! As a young girl, she watched both of her grandmothers prepare Cajun style cookery and sell hot plates to the community! In 2010, Sharon decided to take her passion to a professional level! She received her degree in Gourmet Cooking & Catering from Ashworth College. Not only is she degreed in this industry, she is also highly experienced in homemade cooking and entertaining for both intimate and large settings! Catering is not just about food. For Sharon, it is an art, her passion and her calling! “I knew that this was my calling when I saw how food greatly changed the dynamic of any gathering, event or special occasion!” Services Offered Idias Catering offers a flexible menu with something for everyone. Idias Catering offers consultations to discuss your vision for your special day. Treat your guests to popular dishes like Shrimp & Crawfish Pasta or Sausage and Shrimp Jambalaya. Sides like dirty rice, candied sweet potatoes, collard greens, candied carrots, and much more are available. They can create a custom menu with up to two revisions and offer clients a proposal based on their menu, guest count, and budget. Tastings are also available.
