Greetings! This is Naomi Epstein and I make love stories through photographs. Always it is very pleasant to hear when somebody says: ‘I felt as if I were there,’ because it means that I was able to record all feelings of that particular day. I also want to take photographs of people in love, as opposed to only wanting to take pretty pictures. For me every time the couple gives me the trust to be their photographer for a wedding such kind of event I feel so grateful.
To me, my wedding has been an experience to appreciate the value of still pictures as well as video recording. On my wedding day, there came a time when my husband and I were to be married but had not met each other until I appeared on his wedding at a beach in Captiva Island, Florida. The moment he laid his eyes on me he sobbed, I couldn't remember what happened next until photos of him were shown to me. That portrait will stay with me for a lifetime and I intend to make it for every client couple I work with.
My photo and video collection integrates still images and moving images as well as sounds to produce a film-like wedding trailer which will be for your pleasure looking back to it year after year. I want every participant in the wedding to look back at it full of smiles, laughter and even a few tears.
While I am typically based in Chicago and LA, I am also open to global weddings as well. In the end, it’s also about that sense of connection — feeling by the end that we are friends.
