Occasion Designed (formerly Special Occasion By Design) was established in 1998 from a desire to design, create and implement events that are memorable in every way. Owner Tracey Fricke, CSEP, MWP, CMP has a deep passion for meeting new people and hearing their stories. She believes it is these connections that make the world go round. Her attention to detail and caring demeanor brings a calm reassurance that things will flow smoothly so that you can relax and soak up every moment. Tracey is a Master Wedding and Event Planner and Designer and has worked in the events industry since the early 90s, has a Master’s in Business Administration from Creighton University [Go Jays!] and is the area’s only event professional with the combination of the certifications of Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), Master Wedding Planner (MWP) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). Tracey has been honored with the Knot’s Best of Weddings Award every year since 2013 and has been honored with The Knot’s Best of Weddings Hall of Fame. Having planned more than 500 large-scale, full-service weddings and special events, Tracey continues to have a deep passion for designing truly unique experiences worth celebrating. Tracey also loves to share with others and speaks on various topics all over the U.S. She has also served numerous times as a judge on the International Live Events Association (ILEA) Esprit Awards Committee, served numerous times on ILEA’s CSEP Committee and is currently serving as Secretary on her local Wedding International Professionals Association (WIPA) Board. Tracey is married to her middle-school sweetheart with whom she shares three beautiful children, two grandchildren, a chocolate lab named Blu and a sassy little white Frenchie named Clover.
