Founder Beth Hensley is passionate about both cooking and hospitality. Alongside her team, she strives to create an unforgettable dining experience for each couple as they celebrate their new beginnings. Sweet Lilu’s was founded in 2011 by owner and Pastry Chef Beth Hensley. After graduating from Sullivan University’s program for Baking and Pastry Arts in 2001, Beth worked in some of central Kentucky’s best bakeries, restaurants and catering facilities. Beth learned everything from making delectable cakes and pastries to cooking and organizing for events of up to 500 people. By 2006 Beth had her first of two boys, Liam, and decided it was in her future to start a business that she could manage and take care of her kiddos. At that point it was just a thought. By 2011, after kiddo number two, Luke, Beth was ready to take the steps to open Sweet Lilu’s for business. Chef Beth, in collaboration with her partners Jordan, Jessica, Marybeth and Alex, created a team dedicated to bringing the best of Lilu's to more folks across the Bluegrass. They can supply a number of rental items for a seamless dinner service, including tableware, linens, barware, and more. The team is also able to provide a chocolate fountain for a deliciously sweet centerpiece. In addition to serving the food, these courteous culinary artists also offer bar services. Cuisine At Sweet Lilu’s, couples can choose from a variety of cuisines to create their dream wedding menu. Beth and her team are able to cook everything from Italian fare to Middle Eastern delicacies. Their sample menus feature a range of classics for guests to enjoy, including barbecue pulled pork, smoked beef brisket, and grilled steak. A delectable dessert menu is also available, featuring rich chocolate truffles, tantalizing red velvet cake, and traditional cannoli. The team can organize plated meals, food stations, charcuterie trays, and more depending on the client’s vision.
