ANGELO RICCI was a second-generation American, descended from a family in Pisterzo, Lazio, in the Monti Lepini—about 100km southeast of Rome. In May 1957, Angelo Ricci opened a delicatessen on the corner of SW 153rd Street and 6th Avenue SW in Burien. At first it was just a small counter and a few tables next to the only liquor store in town. Angelo learned his family’s method of Italian cooking from his father Michele, a grocer who had immigrated from Italy to Osawatomie, Kansas in 1911. Michele always emphasized the importance of the quality and freshness of ingredients. Angelo and his family rapidly expanded, offering a full dining room and lounge by the early 1960s. Angelo made a name for himself by bringing food from around the country and world to Burien. We are so glad you are considering Angelo’s of Burien for your next event. We offer three unique banquet rooms, so one is sure to fit your needs. We are open for dinner daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00PM. If you are interested in a luncheon or timeframe outside of our regular business hours instead, we are happy to work together to find a timeframe that works for you and our staff. We offer a banquet menu, family style and buffet options. The banquet menu can be fully customized by replacing or adding dishes, having a personalized header or by omitting prices. Pricing for Family Style starts at $20-$24 per person depending on entrée and course selections, plus tax and automatic 20% gratuity. Most people select a red pasta, alfredo pasta and a chicken dish. Think of this as a seated buffet. The aforementioned prices include a first course of house salad and garlic bread and a main course with the dishes of your choosing.
