Facilities and Capacity Prior to celebrations, select members of the wedding party are welcome to make use of the get-ready rooms. One dressing room features a toilet closet while the other comes with a TV. The chapel area has space for guests to sit and enjoy the ceremony. Here, everyone can gather as the happy couple exchanges vows and starts their married life together. Beautiful 12-foot long-leaf pine pews add a traditional touch to this eye-catching property. At the top of the room, the couple can stand as invitees watch on. An antique fainting couch and chairs are also positioned here, providing an extra touch of sophistication to the room's aesthetic. Beautiful glass windows allow natural light to flood in, too, lending the area some tasteful charm. After the "I-do" occasion, the happy couple can enjoy photos in front of an oak tree that dates back several hundred years. Services Offered Brick & Blossom Weddings and Events features a painted and signed historic baptistry, one of the few surviving in Texas, adding to its unique appeal. For added convenience, there is a full kitchen with a caterer's warming stand as well as an ice machine. History The church was founded in 1815 as the Woodlawn Baptist Church. The current brick building was built in 1925 after the original structure was ruined by fire. For many years it has served as a place of worship in the Staples community. In more recent years, this historic structure had fallen into considerable disrepair. It ultimately became a labor of love for owners Ronnie and Karlin Clark, who decided to restore it. Their vision was to keep it available as an affordable gathering place for weddings and family get togethers.
