About

Established in 1799, Travellers Rest is the oldest house open to the public in Nashville. A true gem nestled just a few miles outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown, Travellers Rest is the venue to say “I do!” with its rich history and idyllic grounds. With large magnolia trees, a beautiful formal garden, and grassy meadows, Travellers Rest exudes southern charm. Ceremonies and special events can take place outside under a canopy of trees against the backdrop of white fences or the historic home itself. Indoor events enjoy our modern day crib barn with a Tennessee limestone fireplace, high ceilings, and beautiful wooden beams.
