St. Andrew's was built in 1887 on a single level using brick masonry and contained a massive front corner tower with louvered belfry and a steep spire roof. It stood at 317 Florida Avenue, now 317 A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard. Established as a church in 1888, St. Andrew's was the only major church in the city that survived the Great Fire of 1901. This magnificent 1888 de-consecrated Gothic Revival church is a popular site for weddings, parties, meetings, and alumni and sports gatherings. Old St. Andrew’s is strategically located in the heart of Jacksonville’s Sports and Entertainment District across from the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena.
