Located in Norman, Oklahoma, The Mercury Event Center is an industrial restaurant venue for wedding ceremonies, receptions, elopements, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and engagement parties. An indoor event space, this historic downtown venue delivers exceptional experiences to couples and their guests. Originally a 1950s Mercury car dealership, the venue was designed with inspiration from the futuristic, classy, and cool designs of the cars themselves. Facility and Capacity The venue has three spaces that can be used to host wedding ceremonies and receptions. The main hall boasts 50-foot wood barrel ceilings, while the easy room is designed to host buffets and bars. Combining the two indoor areas gives couples the capacity to invite up to 200 guests. The outdoor area is filled with horizontal wood fencing, Edison string lights, and can accommodate games, tables, and event tents for up to 400 people. Services Offered When couples book The Mercury Event Center, they have access to 72-inch tables, white padded wedding chairs, bistros, a cocktail tent, and a sound system with a microphone. No matter how big or small the event is, the venue can accommodate with extra A/V, tents, heaters, decor, and stages. Along with event space, their services include professionals who can help manage each event. They can assist couples with finding, hiring, and coordinating vendors and entertainment. Their bridal suite at The Mercury Event Center is available for the wedding party to get ready in privacy. The venue utilizes the services of Scratch Kitchen & Cocktails and Catering Creations to provide in-house catering and bar options to couples. However, they do let couples bring in their own outside vendors to help with their wedding needs. Location Situated 20 miles south of downtown Oklahoma City, The Mercury Event Center is close to the University of Oklahoma, the largest university in the state.
