The New Parkway Theater is a community-centered cinema and pub located in Oakland’s Uptown district. The New Parkway Theater’s mix of on-screen content includes critically acclaimed new films, throwback favorites, and quirky non-film events. We have regular theme nights with vibrant hosts who help to make your experience at the New Parkway an unforgettable one. The New Parkway offers two screening rooms filled with loveseats, reclaimed vintage chairs, and other unique seating perfect for dates, group outings, and solo trips to the movies. Both of our auditoriums and all of our common areas are ADA accessible, and we hope that all will feel welcome and comfortable at the New Parkway. The New Parkway Theater is a quirky, two-screen speakeasy cinema operated by New Parkway Entertainment, LLC. Equipped with state-of-the-art HD digital projection, 7.1 surround sound, and a full commercial kitchen, the New Parkway is an ideal location for many theatrical and non-theatrical events. We have two screening rooms, Auditorium #1 seating up to 145 people, and Auditorium #2, seating 130. Both are ADA accessible and are filled with couches and other non-traditional theater seating. Rental rates are based on the following four factors: day of the week, time of day, number of hours, and the type of renter you are (nonprofit, individual, or business/corporate). Additionally, there may be a guest minimum or food and drink minimum for particular rentals, depending on the day and time.
