The Obici House sits at the end of a tree-lined one-mile long driveway overlooking the 18th green of Sleepy Hole Golf Course on the Nansemond River. This historic property has original chandeliers, columns, stained glass windows, and unique hardwood floors. This mansion is available for your private event. We provide tables, chairs, the dance floor and more for indoor events up to 150 people.  You may also host a tented reception overlooking the river for up to 500 guests. We are ready to assist you in creating a remarkable celebration at this historic venue in Hampton Roads. The Obici House is a historic mansion inside Sleepy Hole Golf Course, in Suffolk, Virginia. It was once home to the founder of Planters Peanuts; Amedeo Obici and his wife Louise. The driveway is flanked by two lions, from Paris. The 18th green sits behind the house and provides guests with a spectacular sunset views on the Nansemond River. This venue is filled with chandeliers, original stained glass windows, Greek columns, tile and woodwork. Wedding ceremonies may be held at the Pergola, with it's scenic water front background; under the house portico framed by Greek columns, or one of several indoor locations. The Obici house has many modern amenities and a fully equipped bar. Extras available on site include: linens, glassware, dinner plates & utensils. A spacious and beautifully decorated Bride's dressing suite is located on the top floor. Ample parking and handicap accessible.
