In June 2019, The Ostreum opened its doors to weddings and special events. The name “Ostreum” is the latin term for “oyster”. Chosen for the decadence associated with oysters and the idea that the beauty is held within an unassuming exterior, the name fits the venue. The speakeasy concept comes into play here as well. The venue itself was previously the warehouse portion of the O.B. Macaroni Factory established in the early 1900s. The original red cedar columns and rafters remain in the venue, as well as the exposed brick walls. The overall romantic, art deco style plays throughout the updated space. When you walk through the mural doors of Ostreum, you instantly discover that there is much more to this venue than meets the eye. Across the foyer and into the main space this warehouse venue opens up displaying exposed cinder brick walls, original wood rafters, and modern Art Deco chandeliers. Rich velvet curtains partition the large room to create flow of your event into cocktail lounge, ceremony, or reception areas. A variety of seating arrangements can be accommodated in the industrial-chic ceremony area. Custom wood tables unique to Ostreum give an abundance of layout options for you guests with an impressive sized dance floor space. Design elements through out the venue, including the restrooms and dressing suites bring a luxurious style to the warehouse venue. Behind a hidden door, the Lounge and Parlor boast ritzy decor, a pool table, and plenty of room for you and your wedding party. Established in the Near Southside neighborhood, just south of Downtown Fort Worth, the location to hotels, restaurants, and nightlife is ideal for both local and destination weddings. The Ostreum is available to host all types of special events, including galas, fundraisers, parties, and corporate events. The venue can be staged for smaller meeting spaces or larger parties.
